A Century in Bloom — Wheaton Garden Club Flower Show

The Wheaton Garden Club invites the community to join us for A Century in Bloom, a National Garden Clubs Standard Flower Show celebrating our club’s 100-year history.

The show will feature floral designs and horticulture exhibits inspired by important people, places, traditions, and milestones from the Wheaton Garden Club’s century of gardening and community service. From the gardens and pollinators we cherish today to the Victory Gardens of World War II and memorable flower shows of the past, each exhibit offers a glimpse into the club’s long history and its continuing commitment to gardening and horticultural education.

We invite gardeners, flower enthusiasts, artists, families, and anyone who simply enjoys beautiful flowers and creative design to come see the show.

Admission is free and open to the public.

Birdland Flower Show a Success!

WGC Flower Show Oct 6 – 7, 2022

The Wheaton Garden Club presents “Fairytale Flowers”, a standard flower show on October 6th and 7th at the Wheaton Public Library. Floral designs, created by Wheaton Garden Club members, reflect the following themes: The Snow Queen, The Wee Folk, The Moon Flower, The Dragon’s Lair and Dinner at the Cottage in the Woods.

The Horticultural Display, “Gardens, Where Fairies Dance”, will exhibit a large variety of specimens of shrubs, trees, flowers, and plants from Wheaton Garden Club members’ gardens. Special exhibits will focus on Prairie Plants of the Midwest, Butterflies in the Garden, Native Bees, Monarch Garden Way Stations and the Wheaton Garden Club Pollinator Garden. Fairytale Flowers is open to the public on Thursday, October 6th from 12:30 – 9:00 pm and on Friday October 7th from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Wheaton Garden Club members will be available to provide information and answer your questions. Wheaton Public Library is located at 225 N. Cross St, Wheaton.
